Bouhabib received Magro… and stressed the importance of stability in the south

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in the caretaker government, Abdullah Bouhabib, stressed “the importance of stability in the south, especially after the recent developments in the Middle East region.”

Bou Habib’s position came during his meeting with the ambassadors of France, Hervé Magro, and the United States, Lisa Johnson, respectively. The latest developments in the displacement crisis, its repercussions, and European and international positions towards it were also discussed.

Bouhabib received a phone call from Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg, and the two parties agreed on “the importance of stopping escalation and military actions, especially in light of recent developments.”

Schallenberg welcomed “his Lebanese counterpart’s visit to Austria early next May to complete discussions and exchange ideas and viewpoints about what is happening in the region and the situation in southern Lebanon.”
