Who killed the cashier Muhammad Sorour?

It was stated in “Al-Akhbar”:

Yesterday evening, Muhammad Ibrahim Sorour (57 years old) was found murdered in the Beit Mery area in Northern Matn, after contact with him had been cut off since last Thursday.

Sorour works in money exchange and money transfers, and contact with him was cut off while he was returning from an exchange shop in Beit Mery after withdrawing a money transfer. Investigations began to determine his fate by monitoring his phone, which located it in Beit Mery, and camera tracking showed that he entered a villa in the area and did not leave it. Upon contacting the judiciary, he indicated to enter the villa, where he was found killed by seven bullets from two Glock 19 pistols that were found in the villa’s kitchen, submerged in water and cleaning materials in two containers to remove fingerprints from them. Clothes and gloves were also found submerged in water in the same way. Money was found with the dead man, indicating that the operation was not aimed at theft. Information indicated that the villa was rented from its owners and that the tenant had disappeared from sight.

It is noteworthy that Sorour has been placed on the sanctions list issued by the US Treasury Department, along with three others, since August 2019 on charges of facilitating the transfer of funds from Iran and providing financial, material, technological, or other support to the “Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades,” the military wing of the Hamas movement.

According to information, the Israeli enemy accuses Sorour of transferring money to the Gaza Strip, whether for services belonging to ordinary citizens or to parties linked to Hezbollah, such as Hamas and Islamic Jihad. The enemy had previously asked detainees from the Gaza Strip and from Palestinian areas about their knowledge of Surur after it became clear that his store was used to transfer money to the occupied territories.
