On the first day of Eid al-Fitr, thousands perform prayers in Al-Aqsa Mosque

On Wednesday, tens of thousands of Palestinians performed Eid al-Fitr prayers in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the rainy weather and strict Israeli security measures.

Tens of thousands of Palestinians from inside and the West Bank were keen to perform prayers in Al-Aqsa Mosque, while hopes rose for reaching a truce soon and stopping the war in Gaza.

Children in the Gaza Strip received Eid al-Fitr amid harsh humanitarian and health conditions, with the continuation of the Israeli war preventing them from enjoying the Eid atmosphere.

Many volunteer initiatives and relief efforts are active in the sector to provide support and psychological relief for children during the Eid period.
