After Israel launched an attack inside Iran, America warns its citizens in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem

Hours after Iranian media announced that Israel had launched an attack inside Iran, the US Embassy in Israel, today, Friday, banned its employees and their families from traveling on any private trips outside the greater Tel Aviv area, Jerusalem, and Beersheba until further notice.

The embassy said that this was out of caution and precaution after reports of Israel launching a retaliatory strike inside Iranian territory.

Iranian official media reported at dawn on Friday that explosions had been heard in central Isfahan, while American media quoted officials as saying that Israel had carried out retaliatory strikes against its arch-rival.

Iran activated its air defenses over many cities after state television reported hearing explosions near the city of Isfahan (central).

Israel had vowed to respond after Iran launched an attack last week with hundreds of missiles and drones, confirming that it intercepted most of them.

For its part, Fars News Agency reported that “three explosions” were heard near the Shikari Army Air Base near Isfahan.

In turn, Iranian Space Agency spokesman Hussein Dalirian said on the X platform that several drones were “successfully shot down by the country’s air defense, and there are no reports of a missile attack currently.”

In addition, the Iranian “Tasnim” agency, on Friday, quoted “reliable sources” that the nuclear facilities located in Isfahan in central Iran are “completely safe.”

American media quoted a senior American official as saying that Israel launched a strike against Iran in response to the Iranian attack that targeted it last weekend. (Al-Arabiya)
